Sandra
Gibson ~ Qualifications and Experience
Sandra
Gibson learned her Reiki skills with
The Reiki School, and is
a qualified Reiki Practitioner working with people and animals, specialising
in Equine Reiki and Communication. Sandra is a full and practising member of
the Complementary Medical Association,
(article published Autumn 2005 ‘Reiki for Animals’) and produces regular
updates on their ‘Pet
Health Zone’. She is also privileged to work in association with
The Reiki School and
with the Brickworth
Life
and Healing Centre, where she also practises Reiki as a
therapy and teaches Meditation and Yoga.
Sandra continues to be inspired by many teachers from a diverse variety of
holistic and medical backgrounds, and is particularly motivated by the
teachings of the
Chopra Center in California
where she continues to attend courses and seminars to constantly further her
knowledge. Here, she learned the art of meditation from the renowned
philosopher, Dr Deepak Chopra. Sandra has completed the
Chopra Center Diploma in Yoga teaching. As a qualified Adult Education Tutor she passes
on the techniques required to enable balance and healing. Sandra organises
Meditation, Yoga and Reiki courses in Hampshire and Wiltshire and also works alongside Adult
Education Centres.
Having
previously worked in Radiography, Sandra feels an empathy with patients.
From her personal experiences of recovering from a life-threatening illness,
she is drawn to interact and work with cancer patients. Working
alongside conventional medicine, Sandra
offers holistic therapy and advice to create lifestyle changes, enabling
balance and harmony in mind, body and spirit.
Using her advanced Sign Language qualifications, Sandra extends her holistic
therapies to deaf people. In 2008, deaf people
will have the opportunity of attending a UK programme in Meditation and Yoga.
Sandra continues her learning experience within medical
education and is particularly interested in and inspired by the work of
Dr Jeremy Geffen, a renowned oncologist in the USA. Her aim
is to enable cancer patients in the UK to gain awareness of Dr Geffen's
approach in the 7 levels of healing (explained in his book
The Journey Through Cancer.. Sandra is working to assist Dr Geffen
to bring his lectures and workshops to the U.K.
