meditation

Using her skills as a qualified Adult Education Teacher, and constantly motivated by the direct teachings and timeless wisdom of Deepak Chopra, Sandra feels compelled to pass on some of his basic teachings on meditation.

In the silence of meditation, Sandra has found that there really is a peace and contentment within the soul.  This wholeness can easily be brought into our everyday lives, creating joy and fulfilment.

Sandra's Approach

In her teaching of meditation, Sandra offers examples of her own daily meditation techniques.  Initially, she offers advice on simple yogic breathing techniques to relax and calm the mind. Moving on to simple visualisation techniques, Sandra offers music therapy and incorporates themes using nature and the beauty of colour, allowing thorough relaxation. Using a simple tool for gently focussing the mind, Sandra then guides participants through their own peace and silence. Daily awareness techniques are talked through, so that participants can be fully conscious of how they can incorporate these methods into their everyday lives, enabling a clearer understanding of individual pathways.

What is meditation?

A quietening of the mind, directed inwardly, allowing silence to become a part of you.

  Is Meditation 'Religious'?

Sandra believes meditation is purely a quietening of the mind to allow the essence of your silent being to re-emerge, allowing harmony and balance within your life. However, she describes how you can bring your own religious beliefs to meditation, if you wish. As a Christian, Sandra believes meditation allows her to balance her beliefs and adopt a wonderful spiritual openness and acceptance. If you look to the essence of Jesus’ teachings, you will find the spirit of inclusion, love, and openness to knowledge.
